Chords of Time
'Since yesterday half a century has passed away'

In this imagined exhibition, artist John Goto remixes works made over the duration of his career, breaking chronological and thematic connections to create new periodic links, stylistic patterns and creative spaces.

The image sequences are modelled on Major, Minor and Dominant chords in terms of both structure and sensibility.

'Chords of Time' continues the artist's abiding interest in the relationship between mute images and sightless sounds, whilst revealing underlying continuities and concordances within his oeuvre.
