A reduction in workers’ rights following Brexit is feared by many employees. The International Trade Union Confederation’s
‘2018 Global Rights Index’ presents a table rating the best countries for
protecting workers’ rights, through to the worst. The UK presently sits mid-table,
whilst of the best thirteen, ten are members of the EU, and a further two are EEA
EFTA states. In this picture we see England tumbling further towards the bottom
of the scale.
